Aries Trikala hosted and defeated Ikaros Chalkidas for the fifth day of the Greek Basketball League. Aries Trikala had 4 defeats in the league and Ikaros Chalkidas with one victory were one point ahead. Ikaros Chalkidas won and eliminated Aries Trikala for the Greek Cup second round by 4 points. Patrick Ewing Jr and Khalid Mutakabbir (3/3 three pointers in first quarter) started the game with a 19-2 run for Aries Trikala. Dominique Sutton started to scored but the first quarter finished with 29-16 for Aries Trikala in their best quarter till now in the league. Second quarter was better for Ikaros Chalkidas that finished the half time behind by 8 points, 43-35.
