Panathinaikos signed Julian Wright (Julian Emil-Jamaal Wright). The 27 years old American forward graduated from Kansas where he played for Kansas Jayhawks and was selected as the number 13 of the first round 2007 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Hornets. He played three years for the Hornets and in his rookie season he averaged 3.9 points a game and 2.1 rebounds a game. In 2010 he was traded to the Toronto Raptors and a year later he signed with the NBA Development League for Austin Toros. In 2012 he moved to Israel for Maccabi Rishon LeZion and a year later to Russia for BC Krasnye Krylia. Wright was approached by Panathinaikos a month ago but he was cut in medical exams and the player went to a physio on his own costs in order to meet the standards of the team. He is registered for the Euroleague.
