Panathinaikos sign Demetris Nichols
Panathinaikos sign Demetris Nichols. The 32 years old American forward penned an one year contract. Nichols graduated from Syracuse and was taken in the second round (53rd overall) by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2007 NBA Draft. Nichols started his career with Cleveland Cavaliers, but moved to the NBA D-League for Iowa Energy. He returned to the NBA for the Chicago Bulls and after another contract with Iowa Energy he returned to the NBA for the New York Knicks. In
2009 Nichols moved to France for
BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque, where he also played for JA Vichy Basket and Cholet Basket. In 2012 he moved to the Dominican Republic for Metros de Santiago. After another contract in the NBA D-League with Sioux Falls Skyforce Nichols moved to Russia for Krasnye Krylia. In 2014 Nichols moved to CSKA Moscow where he played in two Euroleague Final Fours and won one Euroleague Championship in the previous season.
