AEK signed Nikos Gkikas. The 28-year-old Greek guard penned a three-year contract. Gkikas started his professional career from Filathlitikos and made his debut in the Basketleague with Aris. After a short contract with Ventspils in Latvia, Gkikas returned to Greece for Kifisia and since 2016 he played for Promitheas. In 23 games with Aris Gkikas averaged 5.7 points and 1.6 assists per game. In 28 games with Kifisia, he averaged 7.5 points and 4 assists per game. In his first season with Promitheas Gkikas averaged 9.3 points and 2.8 assists per game, moving up to 9 points and 5.8 assists in his second season and dropped to 5 points and 3.8 assists in his last season. Gkikas is a member of the Greek national team since 2017.
