Landers Nolley II Joins Aris for 2024-25 Season

Aris BC has made a significant addition to their roster by signing Landers Nolley II, a promising 24-year-old American forward. Nolley, who stands 2.01 meters tall, is set to make an impact in the upcoming 2024-25 season. 

Landers Nolley II’s basketball journey began in high school, where he showcased his scoring prowess. At Curie High School, he averaged 17 points per game, demonstrating his ability to lead on the court. His time at Langston Hughes High School was even more impressive, as he averaged 25 points per game in his first year and an outstanding 31 points per game in his second year. His exceptional performance helped lead his team to two championships, earning him the title of Player of the Year.

Moving on to his college career, Nolley started at Virginia Tech in the 2019-20 season. During his time with the Hokies, he averaged 15.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game across 32 games. His shooting percentages were solid, with a field goal percentage (FG%) of 37.0, a three-point percentage (3P%) of 31.6, and a free throw percentage (FT%) of 78.0. His impressive performance earned him a spot on the ACC All-Freshman team.

In the 2020-21 season, Nolley transferred to Memphis, where he continued to excel. He averaged 13.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game over 28 games. His shooting improved, with a FG% of 41.5, a 3P% of 38.7, and a FT% of 80.3. His contributions were instrumental in helping the Tigers win the National Invitation Tournament (NIT), and he was named the tournament's MVP.

The following season (2021-22) at Memphis saw Nolley averaging 9.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game across 29 games. His FG% was 38.0, his 3P% was 33.6, and his FT% was 79.5, continuing to demonstrate his versatility and skill on the court.

Nolley completed his college career at Cincinnati in the 2022-23 season. He had an outstanding season with the Bearcats, averaging 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, with a notable 3P% of 41.7. His performance earned him a place on the AAC All-First team.

In 2023, Nolley declared for the NBA draft but was not selected. He then played in the G-League for the Birmingham Squadron, the affiliate team of the New Orleans Pelicans. During the 2023-24 season, he averaged 13.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game over 39 games. His shooting percentages included a FG% of 41.4, a 3P% of 30.0, and a FT% of 76.5. He also achieved two triple-doubles during the season.

Nolley concluded the 2023-24 season playing in Venezuela for Marinos de Oriente. There, he averaged 14.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, further solidifying his reputation as a versatile and reliable player.
