Moving on to his college career, Nolley started at Virginia Tech in the 2019-20 season. During his time with the Hokies, he averaged 15.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game across 32 games. His shooting percentages were solid, with a field goal percentage (FG%) of 37.0, a three-point percentage (3P%) of 31.6, and a free throw percentage (FT%) of 78.0. His impressive performance earned him a spot on the ACC All-Freshman team.
In the 2020-21 season, Nolley transferred to Memphis, where he continued to excel. He averaged 13.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game over 28 games.
