PAOK Signs Cedric Henderson Jr

PAOK mateco has announced a significant addition to their roster with the signing of Cedric Henderson Jr., a 24-year-old American guard-forward known for his scoring prowess and versatility. Henderson joins PAOK for the 2024-25 season after an impressive rookie year in Romania.

Born on March 3, 2000, in Memphis, Tennessee, Henderson comes from an athletic lineage. His father, Cedric Henderson Sr., played basketball professionally, including five seasons in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.

Cedric Henderson Jr. played three seasons at Campbell University, where he developed into a standout player. In his freshman year (2019-2020), he averaged 12.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game, shooting an impressive 57.8% from the field and 45.2% from beyond the arc. He continued to excel in his sophomore year (2020-2021), averaging 15.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game with a shooting percentage of 50.3% from the field. His junior year (2021-2022) saw him maintain strong performance levels with averages of 14.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game, shooting 49.8% from the field and 38.0% from three-point range.

Henderson transferred to Arizona for his senior year (2022-2023), where he contributed 8.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game over 25 appearances, shooting 40% from three-point range.

Professional Debut in Romania

Henderson made his professional debut in the 2023-24 season with BC Constanta in Romania. His transition to professional basketball was seamless, as he averaged 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2 assists per game across 34 contests. His shooting remained sharp with a 41.7% success rate from three-point range and 85% from the free-throw line. His outstanding performance in Romania demonstrated his readiness for higher-level competition and paved the way for his move to PAOK.
